Charming, nostalgic and quietly whimsical, the Hamlet Silk Scarf captures the character of a small European village through a beautifully ordered patchwork of houses, trees and tiny unexpected details. Rows of individually illustrated cottages sit amongst painterly trees, each with its own subtle character. Cream façades, forest-green and terracotta rooftops, tiny windows and colourful doors are arranged across a tonal patchwork of green colours. Look more closely and playful details emerge - a wandering fox, a little deer, fruit-laden trees and other small moments waiting to be discovered.

Graphic yet softly imperfect, Hamlet has the feeling of a painted European village remembered rather than precisely drawn. Its earthy palette and naïve illustrative style give the design a sense of nostalgia and warmth, while the repetition and geometry keep it distinctly contemporary.
